Telvent will implement its technology solution for the Public Utilities Department of Anaheim, California

Madrid, July 14, 2005 - Telvent (NASDAQ TLVT), the Global RealTime IT Company, announced that the City of Anaheim Public Utilities Department (PUD), California, is currently in production with a facilities management Geographic Information System (GIS). The City of Anaheim Public Utilities Department is a municipal utility serving more than 100,000 electric customers in a 50 square mile service area in southern California.

In need of a state-of-the-art GIS solution, the PUD selected ArcFM and ArcGIS for a facilities management system. As part of the solution, they also requested a single source of information for their capital plant and equipment data in order to feed their work management system. To fulfill this requirement, Telvent built SAGE-FEI, a web-based application that leverages the openness of the ESRI technology by using multi-versioned views for remotely viewing and editing equipment-specific tabular data that reside in the ArcSDE geodatabase.

The City's Utility Service Center uses the system to input new equipment records and keep track of equipment location from the time of purchase until disposal. The Environmental Inspection department enters information on PCB testing to monitor the PCB content of its devices and generate standard reports from the database as required by the State of California. Access to SAGE-FEI has been opened to all City employees.

"SAGE-FEI has streamlined a core part of our asset management process and provides more accurate and timely asset data throughout the organization," said Jason Kornoff, Electric GIS Analyst for Anaheim Public Utilities.
